Steven N. Newton

Steven grew up in the mountains of northeast Georgia. He received a Juris Doctor from the Univ. of Alabama School of Law in 2012, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of Georgia in 2008. He is licensed to practice and has litigated cases in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Georgia state and federal courts. In May 2017, he completed a Master of Laws (LLM) with concentration in Business Transactions from the Univ. of Alabama School of Law.

Steven Newton is a trial attorney with substantive litigation experience. His primary area of practice is personal injury general—plaintiff, in which he has successfully secured significant settlements and jury verdicts in cases ranging from tractor- trailer collisions to workers’ compensation claims. Steven is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi and maintains an office in Peachtree City, Georgia. Steven is honored to be chosen to Rising Stars
for his sixth consecutive year.

Since 2019, Steven has been selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. All attorneys first go through the Super Lawyers selection process. Those who are not selected to the Super Lawyers list, but who meet either one of the Rising Stars eligibility requirements, go through the Rising Stars selection process. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
